Sri. Harish Krishnamurthy is a multi-faceted personality — a socially concerned activist, a technologist, an environmentalist, an educationist, a litterateur, a poet, and a social entrepreneur.

After completing his education in Electronics Engineering, Sri. Harish Krishnamurthy began his professional career at the prestigious Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), where he worked for approximately seventeen years, making several important contributions to India's space programmes.

After years of distinguished contributions as a scientist at ISRO, Sri. Harish Krishnamurthy set out to establish Vagdevi Group of Educational Institutions — a network of quality educational institutions — as a way to make more fundamental and lasting contributions to society. The group is built on the foundation of value-based education with special emphasis on Bharatiya Sanskriti (Indian cultural heritage).

He is also an avid reader and accomplished litterateur who pens articles and poems spanning the fields of education, environment, and spirituality. His book 'Chiguru', an anthology of poems, was released by the eminent scholar Prof. K. S. Narayanacharya.
